Robin Whirlybird on Her Rotorcraft Adventures: NASA WebsiteLink: http://rotored.arc.nasa.gov K-4 teachers can use the newly released 'Robin Whirlybird on her Rotorcraft Adventures' to engage young students in science while strengthening their language and vocabulary skills. The NASA Ames Educational Technology Team developed this online, interactive multimedia storybook that explains aeronautics and rotorcraft research to young children. The story is enhanced by many interactive elements where young students can listen to the story, build rotorcraft, watch animations, listen to rotorcraft sounds, answer comprehension questions, learn about rotorcraft history and engage in investigations such as testing different landing approaches. The site addresses science, technology and language arts education standards.
