Grade(s): K - 8 Synopsis: While the title may seem to be a contradiction in terms (how can anything electronic be natural?), the site itself is a wonderful resource that brings a different nature topic right to students' desktops each week. Topics include "creepy crawlies," fish, reptiles, birds...basically anything that lives in nature. Students can submit questions to the site's featured naturalists and see their answers posted online. The Electronic Naturalist is a new on-line education program providing a weekly environmental education unit. Each unit has artwork, text, activities, additional web sites, plus online access to a professional naturalist. Two reading levels are available for grades K-3 (Quick Read) and 4-8 (Full Read).
