Global Connections: Putting World Events in Context, produced by public broadcasting station WGBH, is a new Web site designed to provide the background information needed to understand events occurring in the Middle East. Users can view this site either through a timeline containing events that span the past 100 years or by looking at single themes such as economics or religion.
