Hosted by Estrella Mountain Community College in Avondale, Arizona, the site serves as a handy alternative to the 1,000-plus-page introductory "principles of biology" textbooks you'll find in any college bookstore or teachers store and you can use it for demonstrations and experiments. It includes 58 full chapters on everything from animal diversity to photosynthesis, each complete with diagrams, pictures, and Web links for further information. A separate glossary is also provided, the contents of which are hyperlinked to words and phrases in each of the main chapters.
